Dankzij iGoogle leer ik nieuwe woorden, en neen, niet alleen via de "elke dag een nieuw woord" applicatie. Ook omdat de Volkskrant haar niveau kennelijk hoog heeft liggen.
Ik heb de hele verzameling best of van Elton John gedownload (dat mag niet!) dus nu kan ik mij te buiten gaan aan klassiekers als Tiny Dancer, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Candle in the Wind, en Bennie and the Jets. Het was me eigenlijk om het laatste nummer te doen, maar dan krijg je gelijk de hele shabang er gratis bij.
Ik heb ook alle dvd's van Bassie en Adriaan binnen. Bedankt Bol.com, 5% korting op studieboeken kan er blijkbaar niet vanaf in mijn geval, maar jullie nemen ook niet de moiete me te waarschuwen als jullie zien dat er om half 5 's nachts opeens een dubieuze bestelling van 10 Bassie en Adriaan dvd's wordt gedaan. Jullie leveren gewoon. Tuurlijk. Nouja, dan ga ik ze kijken ook!!! Puh.

Ik ben helemaal in mijn nopjes, want op de boekenmarkt op Plein 44 scoorde ik eindelijk "Leven en Werken van De Kabouter". Ja, De Kabouter, dat is zeg maar het "Wat Zingt Daar" handboek voor het herkennen van vogels, maar dan voor De Kabouter. Met illustraties van Rien (Poortvliet); het is echt te geniaal. Ik bedoel, Kabouters bestaan. Dat is gewoon waar. Hoe het verteld wordt ook, gewoon zwaar logisch! Natuurlijk bestaan Kabouters.

Ahh, yesplease.
This is a (public) Springsteen post. Skip if you don't give a shit (though you should).
I don't care if this man is as old as my dad. I too, have been bosscocked That Sunday and I loved it.
Amazon just dropped off a package, finally! I ordered his new album weeks ago, but I guess they're having a hard time finding New Orleans. Really, it's on the map, down south, you know. Anyway, here it is, and I haven't listened to it before because I don't like to do that, and so I was a Working on a Dream virgin, but not anymore.
To be quite honest, it wasn't the best roll in the hay (and believe me, I have very few these days).
I mean, I do really love his E-Street stuff, like, back in the late seventies, eighties. Awesome. But I'm a sucker for his solo stuff, and his more toned down albums. Nebraska. Oh. My. God. The Ghost of Tom Joad, Devils & Dust. Excellent! Then he did The Rising, it has some of my favorite songs, but it wasn't thát good. Magic was cool, it was awesome to finally have him reunite with his E-Street Band, but it's all so much of the same, sometimes. Springsteen is an awesome songwriter, and I don't get that Girls in Their Summer Clothes bullshit that he put on Magic. Same with Working on a Dream. WTF @ some of it.
It pisses me off that EVERY single Bruce album (exception: Born to Run) has some of the greatest SHIT I ever heard in my life, but at the same time has such amazing songs, that make the hairs in the back of my neck stand straight up.
I heart you Bruce, even though you could've been my dad uncle. I will not see you live this year though, but I got my fix Feb. 1st.
Release another album next year, mmkay? You seem to be on a roll.
